In under 3 minutes for under $2.00 Barbie is ready to relax in the sun! No sewing, no gluing and no time at all! I found this at the Thrift Store. I’m not sure if its a folder holder, a dish rack or something else but I do know it has the makings of a perfect Barbie Doll beach chair!
I started with a black metal dish rack, the perfect structure for a beach chair frame! I also purchased a foam tablet case while I was there, the stripes were a great fit for beach and the padding makes for the perfect beach chair. All I had to do was cut a piece out out and hang it over the top.
What a great addition to your child’s Barbie accessories!
Special Note: You might not find this exact item but my goal with these examples are inspiration. My hope is to encourage parents and children to spend quality time together seeking out treasures to convert into wonderful Barbie furniture and accessories or toys of any kind. It’s fun, it’s creative, it incorporates quality time, it’s affordable and teaches children to reuse, re-purpose and up-cycle and that’s good news for the environment. It doesn’t need to involve a lot of skills or supplies – this project is a good example of that, so turn something old into something new!
