I came across an old doll at the Edmonton Re-use Centre, she must have been a cake topper given she had no legs. There she was at the bottom of a bin, with her dirty face staring up at me pleading with me to take her. I couldn’t leave her there so I decided to bring her home and give her a Fall make-over.

I cleaned her up and started adding layers of faux fall leaves that I bought at the The Dollar Tree Store

For her wings, I use lily petals. I added yellow food coloring for some fall color.

And now she’s a beautiful Fall Forest Fairy!

This vibrant Fall Fairy is a great addition to my seasonal faux petal fairies that I make with found and forlorn small dolls. I hope I can inspire kids and crafters to re-think throwing some of those old toys out and turning them into something new!
Aw, isn’t she adoralble…yes those were cake toppers.

Thank-you! Her little face was so dirty I think she may have been the topper of a few mud pies along the way too!

Starr- I like how you find old , tossed out things and make them lovable again. Very cute fairy for fall decorating.
