My Repurposed Christmas Tree Stand Make Overs

Our son got us a new Christmas tree a few years back so it was time to retire the old tree stand and it’s been stuck away in a box ever since. I decided there had to be another way to incorporate it in my Christmas decor so here are few ideas I came up with.

First I removed the metal screws that hold the tree in place and put them safely away so that it can always be used again in the future as a tree stand.

Then I used a  red headband with a bow to wrap around the raised metal green part and glued it in place.

I have a wonderful wooden Father Christmas figurine that I knew would be perfect to place over the opening and it goes so well with the sleigh theme.

From there I played around a bit and added a few candy-canes, oranges and pine-cones and a small string of lights underneath.

There are just so many options when it comes to turning this into a decor accents. I tried a few different variations. It was fun just trying all the different combinations!

For this version I used the Christmas sock wine glass cozy and added this cute Rudolph ornament. His nose blinks too!

Which one is your favorite?

    1. Big thanks Louise. I’m glad I didn’t get rid of it along with the old tree – I’m really enjoying it – it was always under the tree before and you never got to appreciate the cast iron or the sleigh design behind all the presents so it worked out great.
