Sunshine Blogger Award

Happy New Year! Well, 2019 is finally upon us and I’m thrilled to say I’ve been nominated for a Sunshine Blogger Award by two wonderful and creative bloggers Sophie Marshal SCM & Kathy’s Crafts and things. It’s so exciting to be nominated for this award in-particular because it’s a shout out of peers and fellow bloggers and I couldn’t be more honoured! Both Sophie and Kathy are very talented bloggers with super creative projects and I’m always looking forward to their next posts so please visit their their blogs!

The rules for this award are:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you, and include a link back to their blog.
  2. Answer the questions given by the person who nominated you.
  3. Nominate other blogs and give questions for them to answer.
  4. Notify your nominees through social media or by commenting on their blog.
  5. List the rules and display a Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post.

The questions I must answer are,

  1. What is your favorite topic to blog about?
  2. How did you come up with the title of your blog?
  3. What is the main reason you start blogging?
  4. Is there a destination you’ve dreamt of visiting?
  5. What is your favorite movie?
  6. Do you have a favorite book genre?
  7. What is your favorite color?
  8. Do you have a New Year’s resolution?
  9. What is your favorite season?
  10. Do you have a favorite holiday?
  11. What is your favorite animal?

My Answers are,
#1 I like to blog most about projects where I can re-purpose or up-cycle something and turn something old into something new or something new into something different.

#2 My blog is called basically because it encompasses my name and what gives me joy which is being creative.

#3 I started blogging as a way to share with others and to expand my overall skill set in terms of writing, technology, photography, networking and all that goes into the experience but mostly for the fun of sharing.

#4 I have always wanted to visit the Wales, England, Ireland and Scotland.

#5 My favorite movie is Terms of Endearment. The story-line while heart breaking, always stayed with me. Shirley McLean as the mother was outstanding in the role, all the actors were.

#6 I am a devoted reader of historical fiction with a particular preference but not limited to western Europe 1000 – 1600

#7 My favorite color is robin egg blue – soft, serene and fresh.

#8 My New Years Resolution is to read my life plan or goal plan out loud at least 10 times a day until I’ve memorized it.

#9 My favorite season is fall – I love the leaves, the change, the cooler air.

#10 My favorite holiday is New Years eve. Christmas is over and its peaceful and quiet and all those left over chocolates from Christmas guest gifts!

#11 My favorite animal is the wolf: resilient, majestic, protective, intelligent, adaptable and resourceful.

Now, my Sunshine Blogger Award nominees are:
Alphe’s Corner
Vanessa Williams
Camie’s Cozy Corner
Sarah Cath’s Adventures

Congrats to all the nominees! I’ve enjoyed your blogs and look forward to all you have to share in 2019!

So now it’s time for me to ask the nominees 10 questions.

#1 Is blogging what you expected it would be?
#2 What has your greatest blogging challenge been?
#3 What’s your favorite blog that you’ve published? Add a link!
#4 What city have you visited that you wish you could visit again?
#5 What is something good that you experienced in 2018?
#6 If you could do something this year that you’ve never done before, what would it be?
#7 Do you have any pets?
#8 What advice would you give new bloggers?
#9 What is your favorite song?
#10 What do you like best about the city, town or community where you live?
#11 What is one blogging goal you hope to achieve in 2019?
