I thought I would share a few of my past posts that include some aspect of decorating with blue. When I was looking back I was surprised how I incorporated it in all the places where I relax most. While my main living area is all done in very earthy tones and that is calming as well, the areas I’ve chosen to decorate with blues are the places where I read, create and get inspired, now that’s the kind of blues I love!

Decorating in blue doesn’t just have to be about the wall color, you can incorporate you color in your decor accents like this vase used for a bracelet holder from Repurposed Solutions That Keep Your Accessories Organized
This Framed Branch Wall Art was one of my favorite projects and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the blue wall behind it gave it the appearance of a summer sky behind the trees adding to a warm and relaxing space.
I found the Robin Egg blue color so relaxing and soothing that I incorporated in my craft-room again going with a combination of blue and white walls and blue furniture accents. I love how my 1970’s vintage dresser make-over from Dresser Restoration With DIY Crystal Drawer Pulls turned out and it is a great storage options for paper and craft supplies. The matching combination of blue and white works with the wall color which together contribute to a soft, fresh and cheerful space considering there are no windows for natural light.

This cafe style bar height DIY patio table was made with a piece of wood attached to two old speaker stands and Egyptian blue was the perfect color choice. I added some green fabric on the stool seats and it’s a bright vibrant addition to my outdoor space. The colors we choose for our personal space really matter in terms of how we feel when we’re in them. For me, most blues are soothing and inspirational. The color should make you want to stay in the space, not avoid it and should inspire you to make use of the space as it’s intended, so choose your colors based on what makes you feel good and don’t worry about what’s trending, any color is the right color if it makes you feel good in that space.
For me these are the “blues” I love!

Yes, it can be nice in the summer months but it is a lot of upkeep since we have trees around it that shed a lot. I love the trees more, so they stay. Most people cut the trees down, but I will never do that.

I am thinking of painting the back wall by our pool blue. I think blue in the garden will be very calming. Your rooms look so pretty.

Thank you! Yes – it’s very handy for bracelets, especially stretch bracelets because they never seem to have a right place to go – they take up space in the jewellery box, they don’t hang well – they get tossed into the drawer and forgotten (ok – that might just be me lol)

I love the blues as well. I especially like the vase repurposed to hold bracelets. It creates such a pretty display, and keeps the bracelets easily within reach for daily wear.

So pretty. Robin egg blue is my favorite color. I recently realized I have a little bit of it in every room in the house. So, if I happen to acquire something of that color (not that I am always on the lookout…) there is always somewhere to put it. 🙂
